Usually, when you buy a sheepskin, the sheep is killed and the skin has been tanned. So actually it is fur.
As i'm vegetarian and I love animals, I didn't really liked it and started to look for an animalfriendly alternative.
Asking around, I found a feltartist that is making the back of the skin with felt. So in fact it's not a skin, let's call it a coat!
I followed a workshop with Annalies in Amsterdam and started to make coat after coat. Then I had so many that I started to sell and teach workshops in de Achterhoek.

Workshop: make your own coat
During a workshop feltmaking, you learn how to make your own coat. We will spend a day on the Dutch countryside and will be working with wool, warm water and organic soap. This process takes the whole day.
When you go home there is still some work to do: washing and combing.
The workshop starts around 10. It includes a nice organic lunch with local products as much as possible,
all the materials you need, and a pick up from the trainstation.
At the end of the day you go home with your own coat!
The price is 75 Euro.
For more information or a booking you can contact me trough my website.
